Parking lot sale to benefit the Meals For Kids/ Backpack program. Beginning at 7am Saturday, April 19th, at Community Services Clearinghouse, 4420 Wheeler Avenue in Fort Smith. A massive assortment of items. Toys, furniture, housewares... even a piano! Best prices around. Shop inside the wardhouse and in the back parking lot. All money raised will be used to purchase food for the Meals For Kids/ Backpack Progarm which currently provides take-home food each Friday for 2,080 children in area public schools. 1971, November 25 – I spent this Thanksgiving with my cousin. My family had driven from Portland, Oregon to Payette, Idaho to pick up a new 24-foot Champion motor home that Dad had ordered. I had refused to go on this sacrilegious excursion over the Holy Thanksgiving Holiday… or at least, that’s what I told my parents.
